• ‘Star' Fire, ‘National' Fire ignite in SCV (signalscv.com) — A brush fire dubbed the “Star Fire” burned about 2 acres near the 25000 block of Twain Place in Stevenson Ranch Saturday night, prompting brief evacuation warnings but causing no injuries or structural damage. Firefighters quickly stopped its spread with a large first-alarm response, while a separate, smaller “National Fire” later ignited in Canyon Country under similar Fourth of July conditions.
