Fire Damages Studio City Home

The cause of the house fire Sunday night remains under investigation.

STUDIO CITY, CA — Authorities are investigating a fire that damaged a vacant home in Studio City Sunday night.

The blaze broke out at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the 3880 block of North Fredonia Drive, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.

Firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames, and it took 36 firefighters about 20 minutes to put out the blaze.

No injuries were reported in the fire. It was the second house fire within minutes of each other in the area. Crews also tackled a blaze in nearby Van Nuys. The two fires are not believed to be connected.
