Halloween is Magic for the Magic Apple

Magic Apple gets busier on Halloween for magic parties.

Brent Geris the owner of The Magic Apple on Ventura Boulevard says it doesn't take a magician to figure out that Halloween is his busiest time of year.

"Most people are having parties and we get calls to walk around and do magic tricks," says Geris.

The average price for a party is around $300 and Geris says, "I'm booked all next weekend."

He also has about five to six other magicians he recomends and books that he can trust to be worth your money.

Geris says he has special tricks he pulls out of his hat just for Halloween: "The Web, Alice's Revenge and Devil's Doorway are the Halloween favorites for magicians."

The Web has a spider that ends up in the observer's hand (oops, now you know the trick—well sort of).

His motto is to advance the art of magic and bring you the best magic has to offer, he just expanded his store this summer to accomodate shows.
