Studio City Local's Not-so-Secret Identity is 'Slangman'
Look-out here comes David Burke of Cosmic Toast Studios, also known as "Slangman"!
Move over Disney and Pixar animation studios, Cosmic Toast Studios is a full in-house production facility specializing in everything you need to turn around an animated or live action project from concept to completion.
Producer and partner of Cosmic Toast Studios David Burke explains: "We are unique because we have everything under one roof- Hasbro was looking for that and has just signed a deal with us."
The Studio City-raised Burke is known as Slangman and when he isn't up on his cloud inventing words with his trusty sidekicks, he is composing songs that Disney would be jealous of.

Burke was a trained classical pianist since the age of 4. He learned how to read notes before words. Eventually he did learn words, and decided to write a book. He has more than 60 published books worldwide via his own company, Slangman Publishing.
Burke's parents spoke seven languages at home and at 15 he lived in France. For other languages he uses experts.

Burke says, "I have found a unique niche in a market to introduce foreign languages and cultures for kids ages two to six."
He is a regular on Voice of America radio, broadcasting to 90 million listeners who bestowed upon him the name "Slangman" and now hosts a new animated TV show on PBS called Slangman's World.
Burke says, "I show children things they don't learn the meaning of in school, like slang and idioms."

The studio has a fun, creative energy you just want to be part of.
For animation, they use the latest in Mac and PC technology and specialize in Maya to Max, After Effects, TVP Animation Pro, Flash to Toon Boom Animate Pro as well as a a giant in-house green screen stage.
Slangman's World is now on Georgia Public Broadcasting and looking for sponsors for the American Forces Network who has approved the program.
They now have 10 different languages and they will be setting up the Slangmans World Language Club soon.
