Studio City Woman Accidentally Run Over by Husband Identified

Authorities today identified a woman who was killed when her husband accidentally ran her down while backing his car out of a driveway in Studio City.

Paramedics were sent to the 10800 block of Wrightwood Lane about 1:15 p.m. Monday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Dorothy West, 88, of Studio City died at the scene, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.

According to investigators, West was run over by a vehicle driven by her husband, Winter said. The death was classified as an accident, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
