TreePeople Volunteers Hold First Annual Phone-a-thon

Join the TreePeople this Saturday.

When: Saturday, March 10, 2012 | 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Where: TreePeople Center for Community Forestry | "Yurt Village"

12601 Mulholland Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90210

For the first time in its nearly 40 year history TreePeople volunteers will take to the phones to raise money to support the organization's work in growing a sustainable future for L.A. - one planted and cared for shade or fruit tree, water-conserving landscape, harvested gallon of rainwater, activated community member, and environmentally educated child at a time.

With more than 80 volunteers signed up, TreePeope’s goal is  gain 2,000 supporters  to help fund TreePeople’s core forestry and education programs this year, as well as save costs by eliminating the need to send paper mail to donors throughout the year -- saving trees!

TreePeople works for greener and healthier Los Angeles where community members join together to transform the region into a healthy urban ecosystem. This is happening in the streets, yards, schools, parks, and mountains throughout Los Angeles. The Phone-a-thon will make this work possible.
