Businesses Damaged In Fire At Fairfield Strip Mall

The blaze at a small strip mall broke out at about 3:17 a.m. Wednesday.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — Fire erupted at a commercial building early Wednesday morning in Fairfield, prompting the Fairfield Fire Department to put out a second alarm for additional crews. Firefighters initially responded at about 3:20 a.m. to the fire at 1638 N. Texas St., fire department officials said.

By about 3:43 a.m., the blaze was brought under control, officials said on Twitter.

A small strip mall is located at 1638 N. Texas St. Two businesses, Peter Pan Auto Glass and OPI Nails, were damaged in the fire, a fire department engineer said.

Peter Pan Auto Glass sustained the most damage in the 3:17 a.m. blaze, Fairfield fire Engineer Ashley Burruss said.

The cause and point of origin of the fire is under investigation.

Firefighters cleared the scene around 6:45 a.m., Burruss said.
