Author's Luncheon ~ 16th annual to benefit "Reach Out and Read"

For more than a decade Solano County Library Foundation's Authors Luncheon has been the premier
social event for Literacy. This year's event is Sunday November 6th; 10:30 am to 3 pm at the Clubhouse at Rancho Solano, 3250 Rancho Solano Pkwy. Tickets are still available.

In addition to a gala luncheon, the event features an all star cast of authors and the opportunity to meet and have the authors sign their books. Each author will address the group, speaking about their writing and careers.

The author's stories about how they came up with an idea or the path they took to becoming a writer
can be funny, serious, off-beat, traditional but always fascinating. One thing everyone at the event shares is a

The Author's Luncheon supports Reach Out and Read, a pediatric literacy program which distributes books
through local pediatric offices. The program reaches children and their parents earlier than most other reading programs, with dramatic results. The program has distributed more than 200,000 books to date.
