There’s no doubt about it, it’s been a long time coming but I’m confident it’s going to be worth the wait. I’m talking of course about the new Kroc Center opening in Suisun City in just a few weeks. The date is set and preparations for grand opening are taking shape nicely.
As I toured the building Friday afternoon I was reminded why I am so excited to see the faces of the people as they walk in and see the Kroc Center for the first time. With light fixtures and windows being installed, paint going on the walls and splashes of colored tile in the locker rooms it is definitely fair to say the “old Y” is no more. The Salvation Army has taken what was once a great facility and transformed it into something amazing.
So when you might ask is the big day and what do you have planned? I can’t reveal too much information yet but I can tell you that we open Saturday May 26th 2012 at 11:30 AM and we are planning a community party. Stay tuned to see what’s coming next at the Kroc Center.
