Izi Holokahi plans to share his love of the ukulele as a way to bring people together
Izi Holokahi’s Ukulele Workshop was a big success when he held it last month at the .
The 28-year-old Hawaiian native has big plans looking ahead, however. Starting in October he plans to offer ukulele instruction to youth 17 and under for three months.
“I feel that’s what needs to be done here,” said Holokahi.

The idea behind the class he calls “The Ukes-periment,” is to help youth that otherwise might not be able to afford the instrument or lessons a chance to play the ukulele. At the end of the three months youth that have completed the instruction will be able to keep the ukuleles they practiced on.
“This is really for people who want it,” he said.
