When is talking about race funny? When Bay Area veteran actor and comedian Donald E. Lacy, Jr. invites you to celebrate our differences and all that we have in common. For the first time in Solano County at The Downtown Theatre in Fairfield, CA, the critically acclaimed one-man-show COLORSTRUCK . Written and performed by Donald E. Lacy, Jr.
Colorstruck has been touring around the United States for the past 9 years, mostly on college campuses, sparking dialogue about race, the racial polarization that exists in America, and how we all can come together as the Human Race.
Colorstruck is a funny, entertaining, educational, thought provoking theatrical experience that has been thrilling audiences from California to New York since 2007 Donald Lacy expertly uses comedy, drama, spoken word, music and visuals to examine the need for more diversity and inclusion. After each show, the actor facilitates a discussion with the audience, addressing the issues raised by Colorstruck, and exploring how we can bridge the racial divide so prevalent in America today.

Colorstruck has been well received by audiences all over the country, including the University of Puget Soundβs Race & Pedagogy National Conference, Sarah Lawrence College in NY and the 29th Annual California-Hawaii NAACP State Convention in Manhattan Beach, CA.
This presentation of Colorstruck is also a benefit for 2 community based organizations that serve youth: The Martin Luther King Freedom Center and the LoveLife Foundation. The MLK Freedom Center trains youth in the history of the Civil Rights Movement and involves them in activism around voting rights and other causes of today. The LoveLife Foundation was founded in 1997 for 16 year-old LoEsheβ Lacy who was murdered on October 20, 1997, an innocent victim to a shooting. The LoveLife Foundation has trained thousands of youth in Oakland and the Bay Area in media and performing arts. The work of the Foundation was proclaimed from the floor of Congress by Congresswoman Barbara Lee in 2000.
