DUI Patrols Planned St. Patrick's Day Weekend In Fairfield: PD

"If you are going out to celebrate, be sure to have a designated driver with you or use a commercial service to get home safely."

FAIRFIELD, CA — The Fairfield Police Department in a news release encouraged those planning to celebrate St. Patrick's Day to do so with a designated driver, as Fairfield PD is increasing its DUI enforcement efforts over the weekend.

Teams of specially trained officers will be working the streets in an effort to increase traffic safety by decreasing the number of impaired drivers on the roadways, according to Fairfield police Lt. Greg Hurlbut.

"Impaired drivers represent a great risk to the safety of the motoring public and pedestrians alike," Hurlbut said.
