Fundraiser Today For Dan O. Root School At Sunset Center Subway Store
Stop by today and 20 percent of all proceeds go to Dan O. Root Elementary School
store owners Amar Singh and his brother Ram Singh are real community boosters, working out deals with local schools to raise money for education.
For more than three years, Amar has helped Schools in Suisun City and Fairfield by hosting fundraisers at his 121 Sunset Shopping Center , located near .
Dan O. Root School's fundraisr is set for every first Friday of the month, and this month's fundraiser is today, where 20 percent of all proceeds Amar gets from sales goes to the PTO for one day each month. The store is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

One year, Amar said, the PTO was able to buy new computers with the money from the fundraisers.
"Education is very important," Amar said, adding the fundraising program was an idea he came up with because he cares about the quality of education local students receive.

Amar's family moved from Alameda six years ago to Vacaville, where his family owns a couple other Subway franchises and Amar pursues his love of gardening.
Amar also raises money for , Tolenas Elementary school in Fairfield, and Central Elemenatary School in Fairfield on different days.
