Key to Awesomeness: Ya’Nia has been cheerleading for 2 years with the Solano Warriors. The eighth grader said that her favorite part about the sport is being able to compete. This year she and her cheerleading team went to a national championships competition in Las Vegas. Ya’Nia enjoyed her trip, even though it was hard work.
“We didn’t get to spend a lot of time out there for ourselves,” said Ya’Nia. “We were out there for two days and the two days we were working on our routines.”

Ya’Nia and her cheerleading team came in 5th place at the competition, an accomplishment she still gets excited about.
“It was a lot of fun,” said Ya’Nia.
