LISTEN: Police Release 911 Call From Abducted Child's Mom, Holding 'Person Of Interest'

The 8 year old, asleep inside a car stolen early Monday in Fairfield, was found safe. The desperate call to 911 is every parent's nightmare.

A person of interest in the theft of a vehicle that contained a sleeping 8-year-old boy in Fairfield early this morning is in custody on unrelated offenses, police said.

The boy, Brock Guzman, was found safe around 8:10 a.m. inside his parents’ silver Toyota Corolla that was taken while it was warming up in the driveway of the family’s home around 4:45 a.m. The California Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert after the car and boy went missing.

The car and child were found on the 400 block of Dahlia Street in Fairfield, according to the CHP.

The suspect was initially identified as wearing a black hat and black sweatshirt, police said. Officers also found a bicycle next to the home where the boy went missing and said it may have been connected to the suspect.

More information about the case was not immediately available from police.
