Suisun City Patch Whiz Kid: Jordan Riggins

Name: Jordan Riggins, 16

School: Rodriguez High School

Accomplishment: Jordan’s track team won 4^th place in the boy’s 4x100 relay at the State Finals.

Key to Awesomeness: Jordan has a lot of family to root him on at his games and competitions. Now a junior, he recalls how special it was to win a medal for his track team’s achievement, and to be able to run the relay with his brother.

“I felt good about it because we were underdogs,” said Jordan. “Nobody expected us to even be there.”

Jordan said that he is most inspired by accomplishments of people around him. He looks up to his brother, who now plays football on a full scholarship at Fresno State. He also gets inspired by his younger siblings, who attend every event to cheer for him along with his parents, who he says have been one of the most instrumental forces in helping him to achieve.

“They put a lot of time and effort into me and my siblings,” he said.
