Suspect Fired Into Solano County Home: Cops

The area man, a parolee, was arrested in connection with shots fired near Travis Boulevard in Fairfield, officials said.

FAIRFIELD, CA –Fairfield police arrested a man Tuesday on suspicion of shooting into a home Monday morning. Police responded around 10:30 a.m. Monday to reports of gunfire in the area of Travis Boulevard and Union Avenue.

While officers were responding, a woman reported hearing gunfire in the 2000 block of Hampton Place and then her front window shattered.

Police said witnesses told them a red Dodge Charger with tinted windows was seen in the area.

Detectives reviewed video surveillance footage in the area and on Tuesday a patrol officer saw the red Dodge Charger with three occupants in the area of Hampton Place. The officer recognized the driver as Nakita
Hubbard, 23, a parolee from Fairfield.

An officer contacted Hubbard, searched the vehicle and found a concealed loaded gun, police said. Detectives allege Hubbard was responsible for shooting into the home.

Hubbard was booked in the county jail on suspicion of shooting into an inhabited dwelling, assault with a deadly weapon and a parole violation.
