Teens From Suisun City, Fairfield Arrested For Alleged Shootings

Citizens began calling 911 after hearing shots and seeing two groups shooting at each other, police said. [Breaking]

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – Two 17-year-old boys were arrested Saturday evening in Fairfield on suspicion of gun-related offenses, police said.

Dispatchers started receiving calls at 5 p.m. of shots being fired near Horizon Drive and Clay Bank Road.

Callers and witnesses said two groups of people were shooting at each other and running from the area, according to police.

The first officers to arrive in the area saw two people who ran when they saw the officers.

Officers detained one suspect almost immediately. The second suspect took off on foot, jumping fences and was detained after a chase and search of the area, police said.

Officers found two guns hidden in some bushes and evidence of the shooting. Bullet holes were found in nearby businesses and a car in a parking lot.

One boy is from Fairfield and the other is from Suisun City. They were both taken to juvenile hall.
