Violations included flavored tobacco, unlicensed THC vapes, untaxed cigarettes, and banned kratom products. DPS plans follow‑up inspections and urges residents to report suspected illegal tobacco sales to help protect minors and the broader community.
   

• Developer eyes 100-plus homes on South Bay site owned by tech company (mercurynews.com) — A developer is proposing 137 townhouses, including 28 affordable units, at 1484 Kifer Road in Sunnyvale on land owned by cybersecurity firm Fortinet. The project would replace an existing industrial building with 13 townhouse structures about three‑quarters of a mile from Lawrence Caltrain. Plans use SB 330 for streamlined approval and outline a mix of one‑, two‑, and three‑bedroom homes.
