• Supervisors Back Sutter Buttes Event Venue (gridleyherald.com) — Sutter County supervisors have approved a scaled‑down event venue near the base of the Sutter Buttes, overturning an earlier Planning Commission denial. The 4–1 vote allows limited weddings, fundraisers, and similar gatherings on an 80‑acre farm, adding strict operating conditions to address neighbors’ concerns about traffic, noise, and rural character. 
• Battle of the Badges Blood Drive Set for June 16 and 25 (territorialdispatch.com) — Sutter County Sheriff’s Office and Yuba City Police are teaming up for a Battle of the Badges blood drive on June 16 and 25 in Yuba City, and they’re asking local residents to donate and vote. All blood stays in the region to help nearby patients, and appointments can be booked online through Vitalant.
