• Man arrested after search warrant at home north of Taft finds several firearms, ammunition (kget.com) — Deputies from the Taft substation arrested a 52-year-old Taft resident after finding several AR-15-style rifles, handguns, and large amounts of ammunition during a search at a home just outside town. The warrant followed a report of a gun being fired at a residence, and the suspect now faces charges including criminal threats and negligent firearm discharge while remaining in custody as the investigation continues.
