TEMECULA, CA – A woman is facing narcotic smuggling charges after she was recently nabbed in the Temecula area with more than $860,000 worth of meth, heroin and cocaine hidden in her car, the U.S. Border Patrol reports. The woman, whose name was not released, was identified only as a 39-year-old U.S. citizen.
The large drug haul was found on Friday morning, after agents working on Interstate 15 pulled her over in a 2014 Ford Focus around 10 a.m., according to Mary Beth Caston of the U.S. Border Patrol.
"While conducting an interview, the agent’s K-9 alerted to the woman’s sedan," Caston said in a news release. "Agents searched her car and found several bundles of narcotics beneath the passenger side floorboard."
