TEMECULA, CA — Northbound lanes and connector ramps on Interstate 15 will be closed just south of Temecula starting Thursday night, the Riverside County Transportation Commission alerted the public. Another southbound ramp in the Corona area would also be temporarily closed on Thursday, according to a CalTrans alert.

The Temecula I-15 closures are scheduled from 10 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday, impacting connector ramps at Rancho California and Winchester roads, as well as Temecula Parkway.

One or more northbound lanes will also be shut down between the San Diego County line and Temecula, according to the Riverside County Transportation Commission.

To the north, on I-15, Corona Maintenance crews will perform landscape operations on Thursday, weather permitting.

Vegetation control will occur on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., closing the southbound I-15 off-ramp at Ontario Avenue.

Drivers were asked to seek alternate routes.

Further, in San Bernardino County, the I-15 would also see lane closures on Thursday due to a Caltrans Emergency Repair Project near Cima Road and Mountain Pass.

"Caltrans District 8 is starting a $3.1 million emergency repair project on Interstate 15 near the Cima Road overcrossing.

The bridge, built in 1961, is located south of Mountain Pass between Baker and the Nevada state line.

"Traffic impacts will include a one-lane closure on the overcrossing with temporary traffic signals and reverse traffic control in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Full closures of northbound I-15 may also take place all day Wednesday through 8 a.m. Thursday, May 28, as needed.

"Crews will repair damaged parts of the bridge above the northbound lanes to help keep the structure safe and in good condition. The project is expected to be completed by summer 2026," Caltrans advised.
