TEMECULA, CA — Temecula native and professional baseball player Kelsie Whitmore is hosting a youth baseball camp designed to inspire, challenge, and elevate the next generation of athletes.
Parents are invited to register their children, both boys and girls, for the Monday camp, to be held at Harveston Community Park Fields, located at 28582 Harveston Drive. Camp starts at 10 a.m., according to the registration page.
Campers will receive hands-on instruction from both Kelsie and a team of experienced coaches, with a strong focus on fundamental skills, including throwing mechanics, fielding, hitting, footwork, and overall baseball IQ.
Through fast-paced drills, position-specific training, and live instruction, athletes will develop their skills while learning the importance of discipline, confidence, preparation, and competitive mindset—both on and off the field.
Campers Will Receive
Whitmore was the #1 overall pick in the Women's Professional Baseball League and continues to break barriers across the sport.
She's a pitcher who has always played baseball, albeit with a short stint as a soccer goalkeeper at TVHS, and has shared her journey from Major League Baseball to Banana Ball in numerous interviews, loving every minute of it. She's living proof that girls really can do it all.
Known for her powerful arm, athleticism, and competitive edge, she has also captivated fans nationwide as a standout player for the Savannah Bananas," according to a spokesperson for the event. "Her journey is a testament to perseverance, passion, and redefining what’s possible in baseball—making her an incredible role model for athletes of all backgrounds."
"I almost quit baseball (in 2025,) I was ready to be done. I've been on four different professional baseball teams and I thought I was done," she said after she signed with the Savannah Bananas. "Baseball is fun again. Little 6-year-old me would not say 'no' to this."
