One sweepstakes winner will receive a $1,000 LEGO gift card to fill a yellow LEGO bag. Entrants must be members of the free LEGO Insiders loyalty program.

The store will also offer several promotions during its opening week, including a ribbon-cutting, a LEGO set for purchases over $120, a reusable tote with purchases over $50 through Sept. 26, and a special LEGO tile available daily to the first 750 guests.

What's special about Temecula's LEGO store?

Inside, shoppers will find a Pick a Brick Wall, a Build a Minifigure Tower and what the company described as its widest range of LEGO products.

The selection will include LEGO City, LEGO Friends and LEGO Ninjago sets, along with retail exclusives such as LEGO Icons SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom and the LEGO Ideas "The X-Files" set. Other featured products include the LEGO Technic Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear Megacar and the LEGO Icons Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge.

Customers can also receive assistance from the store's Brick Specialists and earn LEGO Insiders points, which can be redeemed for discounts and member offers.

"The opening gives families in Temecula and surrounding communities a new hands-on destination for creative play while adding another nationally recognized retailer to the Promenade Temecula," a store spokesperson said. "The grand-opening weekend is designed to draw both longtime collectors and families who may be introducing younger builders to LEGO products."

The LEGO Group was founded in Billund, Denmark, in 1932 by Ole Kirk Kristiansen. Its name comes from the Danish words "LEg GOdt," meaning "Play Well." The family-owned company now sells its products in more than 140 countries.
