Temecula I-15 Road Rage Death: Coroner Releases ID, Witnesses Sought
The California Highway Patrol is asking anyone with information about Wednesday night's fatal incident to come forward.

TEMECULA, CA — A Perris man is dead after being involved in an "apparent rolling road-rage incident" that led to a crash on Interstate 15 in Temecula, and additional witnesses are sought, the California Highway Patrol announced Thursday.
The CHP began receiving reports around 8:16 p.m. Wednesday about two vehicles heading south on I-15, just north of Winchester Road, in what appeared to be a speed contest. The two motorists "took turns sideswiping one other" when both lost control of their cars described as a gray Chevrolet Malibu and a black Lexus GS 450h, according to the CHP.
The 47-year-old Chevy driver from Perris hit the freeway's center-median barrier and was ejected from the sedan when it overturned. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the CHP.

The man, identified as Anthony Brooks, was sent to Wildomar's Inland Valley Medical Center, where he died from his injuries, according to the CHP.
A 38-year-old San Diego man behind the wheel of the Lexus spun out of control but was not injured. He remained at the scene and cooperated with the CHP investigation. He was not driving under the influence, the CHP reported.

The law enforcement agency is working with the Riverside County District Attorney’s office to determine whether charges will be filed in the case, according to the CHP.
The identity of the Lexus driver was not released.
"The CHP would like to remind the motoring public to never engage in a road rage," the agency said.
No other injuries were reported.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact the Temecula CHP Area office at 951-506-2000.
