Boxer and Feinstein Support Pechanga's Theft of Water Rights. Will Ken Calvert Pull His Support?
Disappointing developments in the Pechanga Water Rights Bill S1219:

The bill is co-sponsored by Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein, Senator's from California. We believe that no entity that participates in, supports, or otherwise partakes in human and/or civil rights violations should benefit from the public trust. And this bill, as written certainly gives Pechanga benefits that we who are descendants of allottees seem to be excluded from.
We met in Washington DC with the HOUSE Natural Resources Committee and they proclaimed it dead in the water....uh, no pun intended.
Did our readers know that their are FEW original allottees with land on the reservation? Those who do NOT own allotted land include Chairman Macarro, who bought his grandfather's land that had been sold. Yes, the Hunters still reside on the land set aside for them in 1895.
Water rights should be shared equally between allottees and the tribe, which is no longer the tribe that the reservation was meant for. READ the link above for more on water rights.
