Temecula Practice Offers XERF, the Skin-Tightening Treatment Making Headlines

XERF, a radiofrequency skin-tightening treatment developed in South Korea, has been getting national attention this year, including from Kim Kardashian, who has posted about getting it.

Bella Vida MedSpa on Ynez Road was the first practice in Temecula to offer XERF. The treatment uses radiofrequency energy to tighten skin on the face and neck without surgery, and most patients return to normal activities the same day.

"People hear about a treatment from a celebrity and want to know if it's right for them," said Dr. Rick Herold, a U.S. Navy veteran and emergency physician who founded Bella Vida in 2023. "The honest answer depends on your skin, your goals and who's doing the treatment. That's the conversation we have with every patient."

Dr. Herold also serves as medical director for the manufacturer's XERF demonstration events in California, Texas and Florida.
