Coroner IDs Hemet Woman Among Dead In Winchester Crash

WINCHESTER, CA — The coroner's bureau has released the identities of two people killed in a head-on crash in Winchester Friday morning.

Eva Barro, 56, of Hemet, and Jesus Giron Araiza, 23, of Mexico were pronounced dead at the scene of the 1:01 a.m. crash on northbound Winchester Road, just north of the Washington Road intersection, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Coroner's Bureau.

The crash prompted the closure of the northbound lanes of Winchester Road as the California Highway Patrol investigated.
