Luther Hughes has played bass with some of the biggest names in jazz in a career spanning over 30 years. Initially formed as homage to the landmark 1959 Cannonball Adderley/John Coltrane album The Cannonball Adderley Quintet in Chicago, the group continues to pay tribute to these jazz giants with arrangements and original compositions related to, or inspired by, Cannonball and Coltrane.
The group is comprised of Luther Hughes (bass), Glenn Cashman (tenor sax), Bruce Babad (alto sax), Ed Czach (piano), and Paul Kreibich (drums).
