Temecula's Civil War: Re-enactment of 1861 Event

A California 150th anniversary event:

Come to historic Vail Ranch and travel back in time to Temecula's Civil War, the 1861 Showalter Affair.

Visit historic Civil War camps, soldiers, costumed civilians, displays, demonstrations, and see a re-enactment and arrest of the Showalter Party as it happened in November 1861, according to organizers from the Vail Ranch Restoration Association.

The Little Temecula History Center is next door to Kohl's, near the intersection of Margarita Road and Temecula Parkway.

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. November 19-20, anniversary date and on the site of the 1861 incident.
