Firefighters Save Dog Trapped in Drain Pipe
The county fire department pulled off a 'technical rescue' this weekend.
TEMECULA, CA- A dog who was trapped in a drain pipe was freed after firefighters performed a technical rescue to remove the pup, the Riverside County Fire Department reported Monday.
At 10:23 p.m. Saturday, a man and his great Pyrenees dog became stuck in a drain pipe in the 25000 block of Avenida Del Oro in Temecula, said April Newman of the Riverside County Fire Department.
The man was able to free himself but the dog remained trapped.

Twenty-one firefighters spent about two hours cutting the pipe open to reach the dog, Newman said.
The dog was freed at 12:06 a.m. Sunday.
