Hiker Dies In Idyllwild Trail Fall
A hiker who fell from a trail near Tahquitz Peak was later found dead by Riverside County Sheriff's Helicopter crews.
IDYLLWILD, CA — A hiker fell and died Sunday on a trail near Idyllwild.
The fall occurred about 2:10 p.m. on the South Ridge Trail near Tahquitz Peak in the San Jacinto Mountains, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
A Riverside County sheriff's helicopter rescue team was dispatched to the location and reported that the hiker died at the scene.
