Learn to Square Dance

Square dance class

Many of us were exposed to square dancing in 4th grade when we studied California history. But what we learned then is just a taste compared to modern square dancing. There are over 100 calls to learn and it is a very challenging and fun activity for all ages. It provides great exercise and meeting friendly people! It challenges the mind and keeps you thinking! We square dance to all genres of music....it isn't just county music. Beatles, Elvis, Lady Gaga, to name a few. We even square dance to Rap. Square dancing is open to couples and singles. There are always plenty of singles to find a partner.

Our class instructor is Charlie Robertson, a world renown caller. He is a great instructor and has a fantastic singing voice. He is humorous and makes learning fun! Something I bet you didn't know? Square dancing is called all over the world and it is in English. So you can find a dance in in many countries and can dance....Germany, Belgium, France, Japan, Australia, England, Scotland, Sweden, Norway, to name a few. Square dance calls are universal all over the world.

Our beginners class is opened new students for one more week, Monday, Sept. 26th. Come and try it out! Your first night is free so you have nothing to lose for a fun night! Bring your friends! Wear comfortable clothing and have a great time!
