Melting Pot Restaurant Closes

The Temecula location of the chain restaurant closes after three years of business.

The Melting Pot, a fondue restaurant, closed its Temecula location.

It shuttered on Aug.15 for "financial reasons," according to the company's spokesperson.

"We sincerely regret the impact this has had on our guests and our family of team members. There are no plans to re-open the restaurant or open a new Melting Pot restaurant in Temecula at this time," said Sandy D'Elosue, the spokesperson.

The restaurant opened on June 25, 2008 and employed 25 people. It offered jobs to any of them willing to travel to its La Jolla location, the spokesperson said.

Melting Pot has 140 locations in 36 states, Canada and Mexico. It has 15 locations in the planning process, D'Elosue said.
