The self-proclaimed "healthy specialty grocer" is bringing approximately 100 full- and part-time jobs to the community as a result of the new Menifee store, the Phoenix-based company said. (Those interested in positions can visit sprouts.com/careers to view openings.)

The Sprouts project was approved in October 2019 by Menifee's Community Development Department as part of the 78,417-square-foot Center Pointe Plaza project in Menifee Town Center.

Known for a curated selection of healthy products, Sprouts offers produce, meat and seafood, supplements, plant-based products, organic products, and more.

The new store is open daily from 7 a.m.-10 p.m.

To celebrate the Menifee opening, the first 200 customers who stopped by Wednesday received 25 percent off their total initial purchase and every shopper on opening day was receiving a free reusable canvas shopping bag, the company said.

Local customers can also enter to win a $500 Sprouts gift card by visiting sprouts.com/menifee.

Through Sprouts' Food Rescue program, the new store will donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain edible to Feeding America Riverside San Bernardino. In 2020, Sprouts donated an equivalent of approximately 23 million meals to those in need through the program, according to the company.
