Running midday on September 19, the free event targets local high schoolers, transfer students, and adults exploring new careers, with information on programs, admissions, and financial options.
   

• DUI Checkpoint Scheduled In Temecula (patch.com) — Drivers in Temecula should be prepared for a DUI checkpoint this weekend, as Riverside County sheriff's deputies screen motorists at a yet-to-be-disclosed location within city limits. The overnight operation aims to reduce impaired-driving crashes and reminds residents that alcohol, certain medications, and cannabis can all lead to serious legal and financial consequences if used before driving.
