A "pump track" is a continuous loop of rollers, and banked turns (berms) designed to be ridden
by riders without having to pedal, and are relatively simple to use and cater to a wide variety of skill levels of all ages, planners said.
"The City of Temecula’s new Pump Track has an asphalt surface to help reduce maintenance," the city added. "It provides the ideal access to cycling from toddlers through professional cyclists, and is fun for the whole family."

“Temecula’s new Pump Track is a community asset consistent with the city’s Quality of Life Master Plan," said City Council Member Zak Schwank, "and we’re proud to have built such a high quality facility for our residents to enjoy.”
While it’s a great workout and lots of fun, city officials noted that safety helmets are
required.
