Forecast: Storm Coming Tonight

A storm should hit Temecula tonight and last until early Thursday morning, according to a forecast.

The chance of showers will rise to 50 percent by 11 p.m. Winds will pick up to 5-15 mph with gusts of 25 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

The chance of rain will rise to 80 percent during the day on tomorrow, but the chance will slip back to 50 by the evening.

Wednesday brings a 60 percent chance of showers, which will slip to a 20 percent chance by the evening, according to the forecast.

The clouds should disappear and the temperature should shoot to 67 degrees on Thursday, though the evening should be foggy with a low temperature of 47 degrees.

The warm weather and clear sky will last until Saturday night, which was forecast for a slight chance of showers. The chance will linger into Sunday, according to the weather service.

A trough of low pressure moving along the coast is the cause of the storm, which may lower the snow level to 5,000 feet in nearby mountains, according to the forecast.

Highs for today, Tuesday and Wednesday will be around 60 degrees. Highs for Thursday, Friday and Saturday should be around 70. The lows all week should be in the upper 40s.
