Sheriff Sniff is Sworn In For Third Term

Stan Sniff was sworn in Monday for his third term as Riverside County Sheriff during a fairly low-key ceremony at the County Administrative Center.

Sniff was sworn in at 9 a.m. by Judge Richard T. Fields in the county Board of Supervisors chamber in downtown Riverside.

Sniff became sheriff in 2007, when he was appointed to fill a vacancy created when Sheriff Bob Doyle resigned to take another job.

Sniff won re-election in 2010 and again this year.
