Short Film "Temecula" to Make World Premiere at TIFF
"Temecula" will lead off the short film block starting at 9AM on Thursday, June 11th.
The Temecula Independent Film Festival will kick off a full three days of shorts and features with the aptly named “Temecula” at 9AM on Thursday, June 10th. The film, nominated for both Best Comedy Short and Best Parody, follows young couple Janet and Robin, whose plans for a wine country romance are thwarted by an untimely bout of food poisoning.
“I think we’ve all been there,” laughs the Writer and Director Benjamin Mennell. “I love the story because it’s so relatable. Everyone has had a vacation that didn’t quite go according to plan.”
The Temecula Valley provides a lush backdrop for the film, with a number of scenes shot on location in Old Town and Wine Country. Locals are sure to recognize some familiar sights from around the Valley.
