The annual street fair, that draws slews of chalk artists, plus summer movies & concerts will be online this year due to coronavirus woes.
TEMECULA, CA — Due to coronavirus mandates, the City of Temecula this year is moving its June outdoor events, including the popular Art & Street Painting Festival, to a virtual setting, officials said today.
“The world as we know it has changed due to the global pandemic – including enjoying outings and being with our community," Mayor James ‘Stew’ Stewart said. "We have decided to hold our family-friendly, summer outdoor special events this June online."
The annual art and street fair, always a crowd draw with its chalk murals, vendors and live music, will be held online June 1 to June 7. Also going virtual will be the Thursday summer concerts on June 11, 18 and 25, and the Friday night Moonlight Movies in the Park on June 12, 19 and 26.

"The City of Temecula’s residents are resilient and strong, and we will rebound," Stewart said. "Temecula’s signature outdoor events will return, but until that time comes, we encourage you to visit our Virtual Community Services webpage so that you and your family may still partake in some Temecula FUN.”
No information is yet released regarding city events typically planned for July 4th, 2020, including a parade and fireworks. Patch will update when those details are available.
