Temecula Valley Thunderstorms Dump (A Little) Rain On Region, Expected To Continue
Plus, how long will we continue to see this type of weather?

TEMECULA, CA — As a heat wave takes hold in the Inland Empire, Temecula Valley residents were treated to some afternoon showers Monday. National Weather Service forecasters tell Patch that the "week monsoon activity" can be expected to continue throughout Monday afternoon — and then again in the afternoons throughout the end of the week.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Brett Albright says Temecula will continue to be very hot this week, with a few thunderstorm buildups. Expect some gusty winds to accompany this type of weather.
As for Monday's rainfall in town, he says that it was only a tenth of an inch in most places. Up to a quarter inch did fall in some locations, though.
