Temecula Valley Wreck Ends With 2 Vehicles In Floodwater Off I-15

TEMECULA, CA — Two drivers managed to escape injury after their vehicles slid out of control off Interstate 15 in the Temecula area on Tuesday. The wreck, reported at 11:43 a.m., was causing some delays on the freeway as passersby slowed to catch a glimpse.

California Highway Patrol logs indicate officials were called to the northbound side of I-15, just north of Rancho California Road, for a collision between a Ford pickup truck and a Hyundai sedan. Both vehicles slid off the roadway and into nearby floodwaters.

The crash briefly trapped the female occupant of the sedan, reports indicated.

Cal Fire and CHP responded to assist the motorists, both of whom did not report injuries.

The CHP is investigating the crash.
