Victim ID'd In Deadly Temecula Area Crash
The man died in a weekend crash near Murrieta Creek.

TEMECULA, CA — A person who died in a crash in an unincorporated area west of Temecula has been publicly identified. He was Edgar Vega of Lancaster, according to the Riverside County coroner's office. Vega was just 26.
According to fire officials, Vega crashed about 100 feet over an embankment in the area of Camino Estribo and Camino Potro. The crash was reported at about 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
One other person was hurt in the crash, according to fire officials. After the accident, that person apparently walked up the road with only minor injuries but declined transport to a hospital.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, but additional details were not immediately available.
