What to do about the Needy & the Greedy- please share your thoughts

For several years a local woman has been riding the backs of the needy individuals & families in our area in order to collect gifts and money, all of which she keeps for herself and a couple of her cohorts. She has collected tens of thousands annually from state, gov't, individuals, companies and celebrities who are all wishing to pitch in and reach out to help the needy in our community sustain and ultimately get back on their feet. All of the funds are procured under the guise that they're going to feed, shelter and help with job assistance amongst other things anyone in their shoes would need. I, like many other volunteers I saw come & go in the matter of a few months were very excited to get the opportunity to help make a difference in someone's life. They not only needed financial support but emotional support as well. I met so many wonderful people who were from all walks of life. You'd be surprised, from people who held degrees, former successful business owners, even psychologists . My point is this, not every homeless person is a bum or a drug addict or even lazy. They all have something that caused them to get to that point, from what I've seen it was generally emotional trauma, serious illness & lastly, I do mean lastly loss of employment. Most seemed to have been through serious crisis and had no emotional support and basically spun out of control financially until they hit rock bottom and somehow wound up at this 'woman's' program being told she was going to help them come in from the rain, dust off their shoulders and help them get back on their feet.

It is with great disdain and disgust that we must reveal that not only does this woman collect money from the state for the individuals in the 'program' but she then charges the individuals in need a monthly housing fee. There are up to 8 people in each unit and she generates roughly another 1500+ per month per unit in addition to the govt funds she was given so that the individuals would not have to pay. She holds large celebrity fundraisers several times per year generating on average 20-50k per event and does it under the guise of housing the homeless. She has set up accounts with major grocers saying that she is a 'food bank', she has people in her program go pick up the food donations 2-3 times per week and take them directly to her home where she removes all of the. Meat. Dairy and best quality donations and stores them for herself and her adult children. They're then passed to her cohorts that assist in her dirty deeds for them to ravage through. What's left, if any are left out on a sidewalk for whomever happens to walk by and see. I've seen 1st hand that its usually old, expired or wilted and on a couple of occassions the food has been left to sit at her house unrefridgerated for a few days as she didn't want to waste the gas sending the food over to her people in need. The same ones, she fundraises for all year right? Speaking of gas, she has stacks of gas cards donated monthly to to the program to help the needy to get to work or to job hunt or make doctor appts etc. Of course

a man with stage 4 cancer AND a brain tumor missed 3 chemo treatments because he was refused a ride or a gas card from this woman who has an abundance of them monthly however her 'pets' that assist her were allowed to use them to drive out of town to see their families or lovers... Hmmm, are you disgusted yet? I am. I could write for days to tell you all of the things we've seen and/ or have knowledge of. I think I'm pretty well disgusted just remembering it all. By the way, that same man with stage 4 cancer was forced to sleep in his car with his 2 teenage children and told only his wife and 2 younger kids could stay as he didn't have money to pay for a 2nd room. So not only is he dying and sleeping in a cold car but his poor children who were undoubtedly already going through emotional turmoil losing their dad and being homeless but they had to go to h.s no less, unbathed or wrinkled clothing, you get the idea, how evil can you be? Let me pose this question, if she fundraises to house the homeless and gets gov't grants to house the homeless and the needy are actually paying rent, WHERE IS THE MONEY???

if that family wasn't a prime example of someone in need that she's raising money for, who is??

our dilemma is this, the area truly needs a place for the needy however we are concerned if its brought to light that the city may kick out the program and displace many who have no where to go, yes they pay their own rents but they can't pay deposits or maybe its a family of 4 who can't go rent a room elsewhere. What do we do?? This larcency must stop but not at the cost of those in need. Please any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
