She’s one of six students worldwide sharing $30,000 in DCAT grants, which support promising young scientists pursuing cutting-edge biomedical projects. 
• Man charged with alleged catalytic converter thefts in T.O., Simi (vcstar.com) — Residents in Thousand Oaks should know a 20-year-old Los Angeles man has pleaded not guilty to multiple felony grand theft charges tied to alleged catalytic converter thefts in Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley this spring. Investigators say he was arrested with tools and cash in his car and may be linked to additional thefts, with another court date set for June 2.
