2 Alarm Fire Destroys Union City Business
Firefighting ranks were stretched thin because of a 6 alarm fire in Emeryville.

UNION CITY, CA - A Union City auto repair shop burned in a fire this morning.
The Alameda County Fire Department reported at about 5:30 a.m. that a two-alarm fire was burning in the 30000 block of Industrial Parkway.
An employee at Pep Boys Union City, located at 30085 Industrial Parkway, said on Twitter that her job had burned in a fire this morning. She said a customer's car was in the garage at the time and burned in the fire as
well.

Firefighters got the fire contained by just after 6 a.m., according to the fire department.
Alameda County fire resources were stretched thin as the department battled two simultaneous fires, the Union City fire and a six-alarm fire that burned an under-construction building in Emeryville and spread to adjacent condos and townhouses and another auto repair shop.

6 Alarm Fire Levels Building Under Construction; Spreads to Townhomes
No injuries were reported in either blaze.
