DUI Enforcement Underway In Union City
Officers will be looking for impaired drivers this week.
UNIN CITY, CA — The Union City Police Department is doing extra DUI enforcement this week. Officers will be looking for drivers under the influence of drugs in addition to alcohol.
“Impaired driving is preventable,” Sergeant Fong said. “It’s a choice. If you’ve been drinking or taking drugs that impair, make the right choice by finding a sober driver or alternate transportation to take you places.”
The Union City Police Department reminds people to read warning labels on prescriptions and over-the-counter drugs about driving. Also, while medicinal and recreational marijuana are legal, driving under the influence of marijuana is illegal.
