Hope Hospice Offers Family Caregiver Class: For Those In Contra Costa, Alameda Counties

The session will focus on types and causes of dementia and memory loss, signs and symptoms, and how to communicate with the loved one.

Dementia can be a diagnosis unto itself, but can also be a component of many other conditions. To help family caregivers who are tending to patients with dementia, Hope Hospice is offering a class that will describe the different types and causes of dementia and memory loss, signs and symptoms, and very importantly, how to effectively communicate with the dementia patient.

The class will be held on Jan. 9 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Hope Hospice, 6377 Clark Avenue, suite 100, in Dublin (second floor conference room).

Any community member engaged in the role of family caregiver or expecting to soon become a caregiver is invited to participate. The class is limited to 30 people.
